Oh my.
[I guess not knowing what you looked like was always gonna make wishing you happy birthday hard Habit – so belatedly, hope you had fun.]
I spent whole night in the dnb room – and what a fking night. Every dj smashed it and each emcee was on point - all headz I saw were loving it. Just 2 of my highlights cause I’m too tired to write any more - Bailey, damn bwhoy, blew me away. LowQui ‘s rhymes with Artificial Intellegence were perfect. His flow upflifts until people wanna rush the stage. been a long time for me since one of those nights….now, back to munting.

ooooh dooood i was in the same room lol.
i was erm the wasted looking guy in a black wife beater and a black peaked beenie. with the girl in the red hotpants and the dood who looked like he was trying to climb into the speaker. bailey was dope.... AI was amaaaaaaazing. AND THE COUNCIL DOOD WITH THE WHIPPER SNIPPER THING AT 4:30am BLOWING HEAPS OF NATURE CARNAGE INTO THE SMOKING SECTION WAS MIND BLOWING.

^thats some fast work on the house job sitch
dam str8 you will rave hard soon enough mate. took me a while to find me feet too and i still am.
all i can say about the night out is it was unbelievable. Craze is the busiest motherfucker on the decks i have ever seen. he had the floor absolutely bouncing but wasn't just droppin club bangers there were loads of tricks in the mix including 360 spins with behind the back scratches! he even dropped "you shook me all night long" and "sweet child of mine" to a massive response and somehow found time to get on the mic b/w cuts. seemed like a nice guy, least he stepped out into the crowd afterwards for countless high fives with sweaty mongers like me (actually its more down low fives cause he's bloody short).
scratch perverts were just too dope again and i get the feeling they always are...with dynamite mc on the mic this was an epic closing set.
you'd think it'd be bloody hard to play for an hour between Craze and Scratch Perverts but Dj Klever just took it on. his set was dope and frenetic.
my jaw still hurts

free_, you should have birthdays more often - what an awesome night! The scratch perverts never disappoint, but without a doubt the highlight was Craze! What a fantastic set; full of surprises and tricks, and more than one old classic to put a smile on my face.
Full marks to Klevar though, a great set in between two big names.
Personally, I am surprised we managed to drag each other of the dnb room! |
